Our Director is Joel Dodd, who has a diverse range of professional experience and abilities.  He brings a fresh perspective to tasks, and his pragmatic versatility makes him a valued resource.  While he is more a Swiss Army knife than a magic bullet, his superpower is the ability to see through the fog and identify the true issue of a situation.

IT Skills:

Joel began programming computers in 1979, learning BASIC, and then at university he learned PASCAL with introductory FORTRAN and COBOL.  In recent years, he has:

• developed Excel applications using VB6;
• coded SQL queries for data extraction;
• Developed SQL-based web dashboards;
• Developed independent Python applications that combine data collation, analysis and graphic dashboard reporting.
• designed, coded and written HTML web pages with CSS formatting;
• designed and hard-coded Android apps (personal project)
